QPR’s academy boss Richard Allen has resigned to take up a new role at the Football Association.
Allen arrived at the club in 2013 from Tottenham, where he spent eight years.
He will remain in place for the time being as Rangers look to appoint a replacement.
The club have been looking to give Les Ferdinand a role for some time – the QPR legend has been out of the game since leaving a coaching job at Spurs in June.
Ferdinand has previously been earmarked for a coaching position at Rangers and has more recently been approached about a possible behind-the-scenes role.
