Portsmouth have agreed the signing of David Wheeler from QPR on a season-long loan.
Wheeler, 27, has started just five matches since being signed from Exeter City a year ago.
He missed the second half of last season with a back injury and recently returned to action during Rangers’ pre-season campaign.
The winger is not in boss Steve McClaren’s first-team plans so has been allowed to join Pompey, who are managed by former QPR assistant boss Kenny Jackett.
