Nottingham Forest are expected to submit an improved offer for Scott McKenna ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Forest and QPR have both had offers for the Scotland defender rejected by Aberdeen.
The R’s have offered around £3m and have been trying to persuade Aberdeen to accept a deal based largely on add-ons.
Aberdeen have rejected that proposal – as well as a recent transfer request from McKenna.
Forest look set to table another bid, while a number of other clubs are interested in the 22-year-old and have been monitoring developments.
