Forest fans on Twitter react to win over Warburton’s QPR
It was an unhappy return to the City Ground for Mark Warburton, whose QPR side slumped to a 3-1 defeat.
Alex Mighten, Lewis Grabban and James Garner scored for Nottingham Forest, where Rangers have won just once in the club’s history.
Lyndon Dykes headed in a late consolation goal on a day to forget for the visitors, who were punished for shoddy mistakes.
Dykes gave the ball away in the build-up to the second goal, after Yoann Barbet losing possession had led to Mighten’s first-half opener.
And the mistakes Rangers made were not unfamiliar to Forest fans, some of whom pointed out on Twitter that their side made similar errors during Warburton’s reign.
Warburton spent nine months as Forest manager before being dismissed on New Year’s Eve 2017.
This Warburton QPR side look exactly like Warburton’s Forest side. Decent in possession, but give it away in stupid areas so often #nffc

#QPR look bright and technically very good but exactly how #NFFC and Brentford were under Warburton. They’ll finish 9th-15th, win some, lose some and play very predictably with no plan B whatsoever.

QPR are playing just like we were under Mark Warburton in 2017 no plan b or tactical clue whatsoever! #nffc

At least its only been fine margins Warburton lad #NFFC

That was the most Mark warburton mistake ever #NFFC

A Mark Warburton side persisting to play out from the back despite the fact it’s not working? Surely not. #NFFC

Warburton will be happy with more possession anyway #finemargins

Surely even Mark Warburton can’t think that was a game of fine margins. Forest were far superior from start to finish today #nffc
