Joel Lynch featured for QPR’s development side against Nottingham Forest at Loftus Road, where the visitors won 5-0.
Striker Ben Brereton scored four goals in a fifth consecutive heavy defeat for Rangers’ Under-23 team, which lost 6-2, 6-1, 4-1 and 3-0 in their previous four games.
Former Forest defender Lynch played at Fulham on Saturday in the absence of left-back Jake Bidwell, who has been sidelined by a dislocated shoulder.
But that was Lynch’s first league start since his summer move from Huddersfield and playing in Friday’s match gave him a chance to further improve his fitness.
Nasser El Khayati, whose game time has been limited too, was also selected for the game, as was Niko Hamalainen, who came on as a substitute for Rangers at Fulham.
Brereton helped himself to a hat-trick and then completed the rout after Lewis Walters had scored Forest’s fourth.
