No action to be taken against QPR’s Robinson
Jack Robinson will not face disciplinary action after footage emerged of an off-the-ball clash between the QPR defender and Wolves forward Diogo Jota.
The incident during Saturday’s match at Molineux, where Rangers lost 2-1, was not spotted by the match officials but was caught on camera by a fan.
The Football Association therefore launched an investigation and the footage was assessed by a three-man panel.
Jota fell to the ground having appeared to be struck by Robinson inside the QPR penalty area after Rangers keeper Alex Smithies had cleared the ball.
However, the panel did not conclude that a clear offence had been committed.

Such a shame the Bentford and Wolverhampton Moneylaunderers fans on here are so upset…. not seeing the bigger picture….I’m glad Robbo will see no further action.
Unusual really as you’d normally expect the authorities to chuck the library at QPR. They will NEVER get over us beating them in the Faurlin tribunal and going up as Champions under King Warnock.

What more evidence does anyone need than this video, irrespective of what had occurred just beforehand you can’t condone what this young thug has then done to Jota, if it had been witnessed in the street it would be classed as GBH. The Representatives of the FA that gave judgement on this are an absolute joke and as the saying goes “ Should have gone to Spec Savers” UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!

Hope the Wolves player is done for his numerous offences..
1 He elbowed Robinson
2 He pushed him to the ground
3 He attempted to stamp on him, leaving his trailing leg behind to catch him
4 He dived when Robinson attempted to push him
Shameful behaviour by the Wolves player, hope they go up this year the Championship will be better off without hem.

It’s a disgraceful decision and a cop out by the lords of the game. Any QPR fan defending it is deluded and jealous as Jota is clearly too good for their team of Giants who can only play hoof ball.

Ridiculous, blatantly hitting out at an opposing player in an off the ball incident. Even if this was a follow up of something then why not protest to the officials? No, instead the player decides to take things into his own hands and THAT people is where this falls down. The FA in neglecting to do anything about this incident are condoning this behaviour.. disgusting!!

Ben Stokes has been subject to a six months investigation and suspension for something (very) similar. Shame on the FA and police for condoning thuggery.

Nuno had a dream, to build a football team,
with Chinese owners and a wonder kid from Porto,
with 5 at the back, and pace in attack,
WE’RE WOLVERHAMPTON
AND WE’RE ON OUR WAY BACK! !!!

Get a grip! At the very worst he gave Jota a deserved slap. No risk of injury and no violent intent. 1 match ban at worst for being a bit naughty!

This is a complete and utter outrage! How can an act of violence like this be disregarded? If a player cannot control his or her self discipline and emotions without assaulting another player then there should be serious consequences.
We’re all supposed to respect the “Fair Play” and “Kick Racism out of football” requests…..how on earth is a spectator or a young participant of the sport supposed to respect what the FA are asking when an act like this isn’t justifiably dealt with!!!!!???? Disgraceful.
I coach a young boy’s football team and am always reiterating “Fair Play” and Sportsmanship aspect! I may as well tell them to behave as they wish because the professionals do it!

I am amazed frankly, that they are taking no action. He clearly punched Jota in the face without provocation. Ah well, nothing to stop him doing it in the next match either then.

Rugby officials are just as bad after the England v Wales game decisions. I almost felt sorry for Wales 🙂 but only for a second or two

It looked premeditated as Robinson walked straight towards Jota from the corner of the 18 yd box after Jota had tackled him. Why do that when the play is halfway up the pitch?

Good the wolves player deserved it he fouled him and the ref didn’t give anything so he was looking for it

Who has turned a blind eye, can you prove that? Quite an accusation. If it wasn’t seen by the officials or caught by official camera’s then not a lot can be done. I’ve seen all sorts of things done by players in the 35+ years I’ve been going to football.
What do you suggest….. football goes down the route of trial by youtube?
JB

So Malcolm, we introduce into football trial by youtube then? Where do you then stop?
Captain David Moseley

Totally agree with Malcolm. Wolves fans have always been biblically honest. Look at their reaction. The footage I have viewed leaves me in no doubt, whatsoever. Jota never goes down without due cause. He has been heavily targeted this season with shocking tackles, which have gone unpunished. Robinson should have been banned for six matches. Period.

Corruption in football is rife.
The fa being the main culprits.
They see what they want to see and dont forget QPR is a London club, says it all really a more clear offence you will not see.

Sums football up completely, referees/ linesmen rubbish, turn a blind eye.
He should have had a 6 match ban and fined. Rugby officials are just so much better.
