News in brief: Bees stadium to host European Championship games
Brentford’s new ground has been chosen as one of the venues for the 2021 Uefa European Women’s Championship, as has Wembley.
Chief executive Jon Varney described the news as a “great honour” for the club.
“We are building a high-quality stadium fully equipped and ready from day one for Premier League football and other major events,” Varney added.
QPR

Scott Donnelly
The Hammersmith-born former QPR midfielder has returned to Hayes & Yeading United.
Donnelly, 31, left at the end of last season and is back after a short spell at Hampshire-based club Moneyfields.
