QPR paid almost £2.5m to agents between February 2016 and the end of January this year.
Rangers’ £2,382,562 paid to intermediaries over a period covering the last two transfer windows is the fifth largest in the Championship.
Three of the four clubs to have paid more – Newcastle, Aston Villa and Norwich – were relegated from the Premier League last season. The other is Nottingham Forest.
QPR chief executive Lee Hoos told the club’s website: “Several high payments made in this period are in relation to historical deals which have now come to an end.
“These include contract cancellations, such as Sandro, as well as incoming and some outgoing transfers in this period.”
Fulham paid £1,285,382 and Brentford £626,159 to agents during the same period.
