Troubled QPR edged closer to Championship safety by picking up a point in a tense London derby at The Den.
Rangers, with just one league win in their 17 matches since Boxing Day, defended well in a game they could not afford to lose.
Caretaker boss John Eustace made some bold calls, including deploying Josh Scowen on the right of midfield, while Ryan Manning played at left-back in the absence of the injured Jake Bidwell.
Manning was excellent, thwarting Millwall playmaker Jed Wallace with countless blocks and perfectly-timed challenges as well as clearing Alex Pearce’s second-half header off the line.
Matt Smith, also handed a starting place by Eustace, went close with a couple of headers, one of which was blocked on the line by Jake Cooper.
And substitute Bright Osayi-Samuel was denied by Millwall keeper David Martin after finding himself through on goal.
QPR: Lumley, Furlong, Leistner, Lynch, Manning, Scowen, Luongo, Cameron, Freeman (Wszolek 90), Wells (Osayi-Samuel 62), Smith.
Subs not used: Ingram, Cousins, Eze, Walker, Hemed.
