Steve McClaren says he saw no reason to make earlier substitutions during QPR’s home defeat against Norwich.
Rangers were beaten 1-0 at Loftus Road, where manager McClaren sent Bright Osayi-Samuel on with 13 minutes remaining and Matt Smith 10 minutes later.
Norwich were relatively comfortable before having to deal with Smith’s aerial threat after the target man was introduced.
But McClaren was not tempted to make the change sooner.
“I thought we were creating chances and doing OK. It was just that final ball or quality shot,” he said.
Rangers had won their previous two matches and were unbeaten in four.
“I thought it had 0-0 written all over it, or one goal, and they got it. We dust ourselves down and we need to go on another run now,” McClaren added.
