QPR midfielder Jordan Cousins has returned to action following a hamstring injury.
Cousins played 75 minutes for Rangers’ development side against Watford on Monday afternoon – his first outing of the season.
Sean Goss also played in the game at Watford’s London Colney training ground, where the visitors won 2-1.
Aramide Oteh opened the scoring with a 13th-minute penalty after recent signing Paul Smyth had been fouled in the area.
And American defender Giles Phillips netted midway through the second half following Goss’ corner.
Watford fielded a number of first-team squad members, including former QPR loanee Mauro Zarate, who hit the woodwork twice, and Will Hughes, who set up a last-minute goal for Dion Pereira.
The result means Rangers’ Under-23s have won five of their opening six matches this season.
