Albion Rovers striker Kyle Doherty is hoping to secure a move to QPR.
The 20-year-old was granted a trial by the R’s in November and the club indicated that they wanted to take a second look at him.
But he then suffered a foot injury and recently returned to action after two months on the sidelines.
Doherty says he now expects to have his delayed second trial and potentially secure a move to west London.
"I'm going back down to QPR at some point this month,” he told Lanarkshire Live Sport, as reported by the Daily Record.
“I just need to arrange a date with them, but my agent is dealing with that side of things and I'm concentrating on doing my best for Albion.
"QPR have been really good with me about the injury and they were keen to get me back down when the injury had healed up.
"I've spoken to them and it's all good. They said the injury was unfortunate but it wasn't going to jeopardise my opportunity.”
Doherty has made 23 appearances and scored seven goals this season for Rovers, who are currently ninth in Scotland’s League Two.
“I know in my mind I know I can go and do well,” he said.
"I don't what's going to happen in the future but hopefully I will be going somewhere full-time and making football my main career now."
