QPR are close to completing the signing of teenager Ryan Manning from Irish side Galway.
Manning, a Republic of Ireland Under-19 international, can play up front or in midfield and has attracted interest from a number of English clubs.
The 18-year-old is expected to finalise his move to Loftus Road in the coming days and will initially be part of Rangers’ development squad, managed by Steve Gallen.
Meanwhile, striker Mauro Zarate has had his medical ahead of proposed loan move from West Ham.
Zarate, 27, is set to join the R’s for the rest of the season after failing to make an impact since the Hammers signed him in the summer.
