Injury rules Kranjcar out of World Cup
Niko Kranjcar has been ruled out of the World Cup.
The Croatia international, who spent the season on loan at QPR from Dynamo Kiev, aggravated a hamstring problem during Saturday’s play-off triumph against Derby at Wembley.
A scan has since revealed a grade two tear that is expected to take four to six weeks to heal.
Kranjcar, 29, made 33 appearances following his arrival at Loftus Road, scoring twice, and was outstanding in the play-off semi-final against Wigan.
