Shaun Derry praised Ebere Eze after the on-loan QPR youngster scored two superb goals for Wycombe in a 3-1 win at Cambridge United.
Cambridge manager Derry, who spent three years with the R’s, saw Eze, 19, put the visitors two up with brilliant long-range strikes.
“It’s not only goals that change games but top quality goals change games as well,” Derry told the Cambridge News.
“I’m not too sure you’re going to see two better strikes than what you’ve just seen.
“They were incredibly gifted strikes that the young kid has managed to execute and changes the whole dynamics of the game.
“The game was very close up until the first goal and once again up until the second as well. It was that little moment of quality, but that was top quality. They were super goals.”
The goals were Eze’s first since joining Wycombe on loan until January.
Eze, who has made one first-team appearance for QPR, was signed in the summer of 2016 after being released by Millwall.
