Important week for QPR forwards as they try to return to fitness

Heidar Helguson will be put through his paces this week in a bid to improve his sharpness, while there are still doubts over the fitness of fellow striker DJ Campbell.

Helguson, who has been battling a persistent groin problem, featured as substitute for QPR at West Brom on Saturday but is not fully fit.

And despite recently returned to training, Campbell was not considered for the game at The Hawthorns as he is still recovering from a hamstring injury.

“DJ isn’t ready and Heidar needs game time,” said Rangers manager Mark Hughes.

“We’ve got a week of work to do this week and will try to bring everybody up to speed.”
