QPR boss has high hopes for Richards

QPR boss Mick Beale says he is excited by what Taylor Richards can bring to his side this season.
The attacking midfielder, who joined on loan from Brighton two weeks ago with a view to a permanent transfer, showed some encouraging signs after coming on for the final 15 minutes at Blackburn last week.
Beale says the Hammersmith-born former Manchester City trainee will be an important part of his team when he is up to speed, along with the fit-again Chris Willock and Leeds loanee Tyler Roberts.
“He is a hugely exciting young player but I don’t want to throw loads at him, because he is 21. We’ve signed him with an obligation to buy, so he is our boy,” Beale said.
“But he has not had a pre-season, same as Tyler, same as Chris, so we have got to bring him on but only as quick as his body will allow.”
Richards came to the attention of Beale when the R’s head coach was at Glasgow Rangers – and was his number one target when he was appointed in May.
“When I came to QPR he was the first name on my list to get done,” Beale said.
“But I didn’t think Brighton would do a deal, only a loan which didn’t interest us, so we are delighted to have him.
“He is someone who can carry the ball, has got good feet, good awareness, can score and create and I think we’ve got a good one there, I really think we do.
“When he is available he will add another dimension to our team, just Luke Amos who runs out of midfield, Taylor is someone who can dribble us out and carry the ball over distances.”
