QPR fear James Perch faces a long spell on the sidelines after he was stretchered off against Newcastle.
Perch, playing against his former club, suffered what looked like a serious injury during the first half at Loftus Road, where Rangers were hammered 6-0.
The 30-year-old’s condition is being assessed and manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is bracing himself for bad news.
He said: “I think it’s bad. Perchy isn’t the kind of player to just come off.”
Perch was deployed on the right of midfield in a much-changed QPR line-up.
Hasselbaink defended his team selection after the defeat – Rangers’ heaviest-ever home league loss.

does that mean JFH will have to find someone else to play in midfield?,
perhaps ingram can do a job!
Why put Perch in midfield when we have an abundance of true midfielders.
