Hull enter race to sign Campbell from QPR
Hull City are looking to beat Crystal Palace and Ipswich to the signing of DJ Campbell.
Tigers boss Steve Bruce has made an approach for the 31-year-old after seemingly missing out on Sunderland forward Fraizer Campbell, who looks set to join Cardiff.
QPR striker Campbell has been told he can leave Loftus Road, where he has been unable to establish himself since his arrival in 2011.
He scored 10 goals during a recent loan spell at Ipswich and their manager Mick McCarthy has been chasing a permanent deal.
West London Sport reported earlier this week that Palace’s former R’s boss Ian Holloway was keen to be reunited with Campbell, who played under him at Blackpool.
Holloway, who today confirmed his interest in the former Brentford player, is also among several Championship managers chasing QPR’s Alejandro Faurlin.
Popular midfielder Faurlin is out of favour at Rangers and a number of clubs would like to take him on loan for the rest of the season.
