Mark Hughes believes Djibril Cisse can make a big impact for QPR in the final matches of the season.
Cisse is available again after recently serving a suspension and is expected to feature in Sunday’s vital derby at Chelsea.
His two red cards since joining Rangers mean he has been banned for a total of seven matches while they have been battling against relegation, and manager Hughes says the striker is keen to atone for his indiscipline.
Hughes said: “He’s back now and he’s got a chance to make amends – although we don’t pitch it to him like that.
“I think he’s got a real determination to make his mark and really make a difference in the last few games.
“He’s been at top clubs, scored goals at Premier League level, played in the Champions League and has huge experience we can draw on.
“The opening of his QPR career has been frustrating, but that doesn’t diminish the quality that he can produce.”
