QPR manager Mark Hughes has laughed off reports linking Esteban Granero with Real Betis.
Spanish media suggested this week that Betis were looking to take Granero on loan in January as a replacement for star midfielder Benat, who has been tipped to leave the club.
But Hughes insists there is no prospect of Rangers’ flagship summer signing making a quick exit.
“It’s a very strange one. I’ve no idea where that one’s come from,” Hughes told West London Sport.
“Esteban’s absolutely loving playing in the Premier League and playing regular football here.
“Why would he want to go and why would we send him out on loan? It doesn’t make sense at all.”
