QPR manager Mark Hughes has told his players they need to keep their composure in the all-important final two matches of the campaign, but insists their poor disciplinary record is undeserved.
Adel Taarabt’s recent dismissal against Tottenham took the number of red cards picked up by Rangers this season to eight.
Suspensions to the likes of Djibril Cisse have proved costly, but Hughes believes his side have at times been unfortunate.
“In black and white it looks a little bit damning, but if you actually look at it some of the sendings-off were very harsh,” he said.
“In the second half against Tottenham I think we committed four fouls – and we had three bookings and a sending off.
“At times they’ve been justified but at other times we’ve been hard by, and the black and white figure of eight sendings-off doesn’t really tell the whole story.”
