QPR manager Ian Holloway says he would love to get one over Neil Warnock when Cardiff visit Loftus Road on Saturday.
Bluebirds boss Warnock is sure of a warm welcome on his return to west London.
He remains a popular figure among Rangers fans, having guided the club back to the top flight in 2011 and more recently steadied the ship during a spell in interim charge.
Holloway says he is full of respect for Warnock but keen for the R’s to finish the season with a flourish.
“Thanks for what you’ve done for us but we want to whoop you if we can,” Holloway declared.
“They’ve done brilliant under Neil and they’ve got six more points than us. We want to try and claw that back.
“They’re in a good vein of form, we’re in a better vein of form that we’ve been in for a while, and hopefully we can take that into this game.
“I’d love to welcome Neil back but beat him. That’s what I’m trying to do.”
Rangers will be without on-loan winger Kazenga LuaLua, who is expected to be sidelined for month with an ankle injury.
