Holloway warns QPR cannot keep relying on Smithies

Ian Holloway has warned that QPR cannot keep relying on Alex Smithies to spare them from heavy defeats.

Rangers, beaten 3-0 at Ipswich and 2-1 by Wolves in the last week, would have been thrashed in both matches had keeper Smithies not produced a string of saves.

Boss Holloway believes his team are too open to counter-attacks and cannot keep being reckless off the ball.

“We’re going to let four, five or six in if we do that,” he said.

“We needed our goalie to make absolutely out-of-this-world saves. That ain’t going to happen every time is it?”

Meanwhile, Rangers have been assessing Jack Robinson after the left-back appeared to aggravate hamstring problem against Wolves.

  • We need to sort out the team who wants to play for QPR get rid of the players who are not playing for the club

  • Urrr, are you not the one setting the team up Olly, in a weird Brazilian inspired formation no less. Course, it helps if your RB is not an idiot.....
