QPR boss bemoans Hall’s absence
Ian Holloway says Grant Hall’s absence has forced QPR to switch to a back four.
Rangers were beaten 3-1 at Brentford on Saturday – their sixth consecutive defeat.
But manager Holloway believes they would have lost by a greater margin had he opted for three at the back without Hall.
Holloway, who has largely deployed Hall in midfield, said: “Without Hally we can’t play with three at the back. They would have murdered us with three at the back.
“Hally is a massive loss. We have to change our shape without Hally.”
Rangers are unsure whether Hall will be able to return from injury for Saturday’s game against fellow strugglers Nottingham Forest.
