Ian Holloway says he does not believe QPR will sign Rotherham United forward Danny Ward ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
Rotherham have rejected two offers from Rangers for the 25-year-old, who has scored 10 goals this season.
Rangers are set to bring in Luke Freeman from Bristol City despite manager Holloway recently suggesting the chance to sign him had gone.
The club also remain in talks with Rotherham, but Holloway said: “I don’t think Ward’s going to happen.
“We’ve got other targets. I don’t think they want to sell Ward.”
Rangers are looking at a number of other potential options, including Fulham striker Matt Smith.
