Ian Holloway felt QPR were too reliant on high balls to Matt Smith in their defeat at Derby.
Rangers were beaten 1-0 at Pride Park, where Matěj Vydra’s 70th-minute goal gave the Rams a deserved win in their first home match under Gary Rowett.
“That didn’t look anything like us of late,” admitted R’s boss Holloway, whose side had been unbeaten in their previous four matches.
“For some reason we decided to hit it towards Matt Smith far too many times. We got beaten by a better team I felt.
“We didn’t get Luke Freeman or Pawel Wszolek anything like high enough to get on the ball and we couldn’t get Conor Washington in the game.
“I’m disappointed because our passing and our support of each other is normally better than that. We weren’t sharp and the confidence fell away a bit.
“We’ll have to take that on the chin and we’ve got another great game on Tuesday against Aston Villa.”

There's only one person to blame for our defeat,and that's IH ,we went into a game with the most defensive lineup,Bidwell is not a wing back and whilst he plays there we sacrifice one of our creative positions.It was unbelievable that we came out for the second half with exactly the same formation and players,we were getting hammered down the wings in the first half and came out for the second inviting Derby to carry on doing the same,where was our plan B???
