Holloway warns QPR fans to stay off pitch
Ian Holloway has urged QPR fans not to invade the pitch after Saturday’s game against Birmingham City.
West London Sport recently revealed that the local authority and police had warned Rangers they face sanctions if fans enter the pitch after the final home game of the season.
The club subsequently confirmed they have been warned to ensure fans stay in their seats.
Possible punishments include Rangers being fined or a reduced capacity being enforced for the final home match of next season.
And manager Holloway told QPR’s website: “The fans have been unbelievable in backing us this campaign, in what has been a season of transition, and we want to thank each and every one of them – but we will only be able to do that if the supporters stay off the pitch.
“The police and local authority have made it very clear to us, so I’m hoping commonsense prevails and we can all show our appreciation at full-time.”
