Ian Holloway has defended his team selections during a dismal run that has seen QPR slump into a relegation battle.
Rangers are still not safe from the drop with two matches left, having lost six in a row for the second time since Holloway returned for a second spell as manager earlier in the season.
He has been criticised by some fans for making wholesale changes in successive games.
But Holloway said: “I ain’t a tinkerman. I don’t do that. I’m trying to win us games.”
A win at home to Nottingham Forest on Saturday would remove any danger of relegation.
Otherwise, Rangers could travel to Norwich on the final day of the season with their Championship status in the balance.
“We’ve got two games left and a point or a win and we’re in the Championship next season,” Holloway said.
“Then we can dust ourselves down, with all the changes I had to make during the season, try to start again and get a way of playing which is nailed down.
“We’ve got a lot to learn and a long way to go, but I can’t argue with the effort.”

Absolute rubbish about tinkering. Manning our best player in previous game, leaves him out. He keeps leaving out players who have done well, what kind of message does that send let alone the effect it has on performances.
