Ian Holloway says decisions have been taken on the futures of some QPR players.
The likes of Jamie Mackie, James Perch and Nedum Onuoha are coming towards the end of their contracts at Loftus Road.
Manager Holloway has also been keen to offload striker Idrissa Sylla, but Rangers have not previously received any suitable offers.
“I’m going to have to make some really tough decisions,” Holloway said after his team’s 1-0 defeat at Reading, where Rangers dominated large spells of the game.
“With some of them I have already done, but we’ll make some announcements on that.
“We have to try to move forward as a club. I’m paid to do that. And I feel we’ve moved forward massively when you look at that performance.
“I’m delighted with my lads. I want them to grow and I want them to believe.”
Holloway also said he was unhappy that Jake Bidwell and not one of Rangers’ attacking players stepped up to take an injury-time penalty, which was saved.

Sylla last season wad our top scorer. Even this season his stats for the mins played versus the rest if the strikers are better.
Why to they persist in hanging on ti the likes if Washington??
