Ian Holloway compared Ebere Eze with QPR legend Stan Bowles following the young forward’s wonderful performance against Aston Villa.
Eze was outstanding in a 3-1 victory at Villa Park, where Ryan Manning scored on his return to the side and there were also goals for Jake Bidwell and Luke Freeman.
“For a 19-year-old to produce that kind of performance made me really proud,” said Rangers boss Holloway.
“He has wonderful ability. He is what every QPR fan cries out for, someone like Stan Bowles
“It is wonderful to see but we have to teach him how to win. He floats and is very easy on the eye.”
Holloway was also delighted with Rangers’ defending.
They were under pressure for large parts of the game but were solid at the back and always a threat on the break.
“To be three up against Villa away from home after watching what they did to Wolves at the weekend was a bit of a shock,” he admitted.
“We have worked hard and the lads were magnificent. My back four were outstanding.”
