Junior Hoilett is doubtful for Wednesday’s game against Brighton after picking up another hamstring injury.
Hoilett, who was taken off with a similar problem in QPR’s recent home game against Ipswich, limped off on 38 minutes during Rangers 1-0 win over Birmingham City.
“Junior’s got a little strain,” explained first-team coach Joe Jordan.
“He tried to run it off but we took him off as a precaution because we don’t want that to be long term.”
QPR stuttered to a fourth consecutive victory with Charlie Austin’s winning goal on 48 minutes one of only two shots on target Rangers had in the match.
“We rode our luck a bit today,” Jordan admitted.
“In the other 1-0 victories we could have got another goal but today, especially in the first half, the chances went to Birmingham but they failed to take them.
“That left it open for us and we took our opportunity. The opposition had the best part of the play and the chances they created justified that, but they never took them.”
