Hogan keen to move as Brown eyes loan deal
Hogan Ephraim says he is grateful for the chance QPR gave him but accepts he needs to move on.
Southend boss Phil Brown is keen on a loan deal for the 25-year-old, who had a spell on loan at Toronto last season and Peterborough earlier this term.
He has been out of the picture at Rangers for some time despite being a key member of Neil Warnock’s Championship-winning squad of 2011.
“I’m not sure how it all got this point to be honest,” Ephraim admitted.
“To this date, no-one has said why I’m not involved, but football is like this sometimes.
“I’m still professional, I’m training with the kids every day. It can be hard to motivate yourself but I’ve got to do it. I’m still working hard in the hope something might change.”
Signed from West Ham in January 2008 following an impressive loan spell, Ephraim has made 95 appearances for the R’s, the last of which came more than two years ago.
“I’d love another chance to play for QPR again, but I can’t see that happening,” he said.
“My contract is up in the summer. It’s inevitable I’m going to move on after not being involved for so long.
“The loan window is still open too so I’m looking to see what might come up. I just want to play football.
“I am very grateful for everything the club have done for me, I’ve grown from a boy to a man here.”
