Hill’s new contract confirmed by Rangers
Clint Hill’s new one-year contract has been confirmed by QPR.
The 36-year-old defender has been at Loftus Road since 2010 and his previous contract expired this week.
He has indicated that he would like would like a coaching role at the club in the future and previously contemplated retiring at the end of last season, but is now keen to prolong his playing career.
Hill recently told West London Sport: “I have to say I feel good. I want to play on.
“I did think perhaps this season might be my last but I’ve not missed a training session and in terms of fitness I feel no different to how I did a few years ago.
“It’s fair to say I’m at that age as a player where with each year you wonder if it’ll be your last. The last thing you want is to be a burden.
“But I’ve looked after myself, I’m fit, feel I’ve still got something to give and it’s not like I’ve been relying on my pace to get by, is it?”
Hill has made 170 appearances and played a key role in two promotions during his time at the club.
