Hasselbaink admits QPR lacked cutting edge
QPR manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink admitted his side lacked a cutting edge in the 0-0 draw at Cardiff.
Rangers, with keeper Matt Ingram making his debut, defended well but rarely troubled the home defence.
“I think we played a really good match. In the first half we controlled the game and had a lot of possession,” Hasselbaink said.
“The only thing I would have liked would have been if we had penetrated a bit more – went for it a little bit more, ended our attacks with a cross or shot.
“We were keeping the ball. But I’m not somebody who wants possession just for possession. We want to go somewhere. We want to have a purpose.
“But on the other hand we were very dominant with the ball. In patches we looked really good.
“We showed a big commitment and a big togetherness, so in that sense I am very happy.”
Rangers are in action again on Tuesday evening, away to promotion-chasing Brighton.
