Esteban Granero’s agent has confirmed that the QPR midfielder is discussing a move to Swansea.
West London Sport reported last week that Granero, who played under Swans boss Michael Laudrup at Getafe, could be heading to Wales.
A number of European clubs have expressed an interest in the 25-year-old, who has failed to impress since joining Rangers from Real Madrid last year.
And his representative, Carlo Cutropia, told TuttoMercatoWeb.com: “The two clubs [Swansea and QPR] are talking about a transfer, it’s true.
“Michael Laudrup knows him very well from their time at Getafe, where together they had a great Uefa Cup campaign.
“Swansea would be an absolutely acceptable destination for Esteban. I’ve received many enquiries from Spanish and English clubs, but for various reasons we have not reached a conclusion.
“The dream of Esteban is to one day play in Italy. If we get calls from Italy we will take them into serious consideration.”
