Kevin Gallen believes Charlie Kelman should be sent out on loan if the young striker is unlikely to be given a run in the QPR side next season.
Kelman, 19, has made 11 appearances since being signed from Southend United last summer - all of them as a substitute.
He is regarded as one for the future - and former Rangers forward Gallen believes it is essential that Kelman picks up first-team experience.
“If he’s not going to be playing at QPR for a bit then he should be going on loan to a League One club for six months,” Gallen said.
“The best thing for any footballer is learning on the job - playing matches, game experience. Especially for a young footballer.
“You need to get into that environment, play regularly and get that rhythm.
“I think a spell on loan for Charlie Kelman would do him the world of good.”
Gallen was joined by West London Sport’s Dan Bennett, Ben Kosky and Ian McCullough.
They discussed the past two Rangers results, Geoff Cameron’s influence and which of Lyndon Dykes, Macauley Bonne and Kelman is most likely to progress next season.
Ian believes Kelman is the best option of the three and should be considered for a run in the side.
