Fulham’s Hughes wanted by QPR
QPR want to bring in Aaron Hughes from Fulham before tonight’s deadline.
Defender Hughes, 34, is not in Whites boss Rene Meulensteen’s plans and may leave Craven Cottage today.
Harry Redknapp suggested on Friday morning that the signing had already been completed and the Northern Ireland international would be available for Saturday’s game against Burnley.
“We’ve signed Aaron Hughes and it’s an excellent signing for us,” said the Rangers boss.
“I’ve always liked him. He’s a good player and a good professional and we’ve needed someone at the back.”
