Manager Kit Symons has said Fulham are “very close” to making a new signing.
The Whites are looking to tie up a deal for Bolton defender Tim Ream, who has also spoken to QPR after both clubs had £1.4m bid for the United States international accepted.
Symons said: “We are close to a couple and until they’re done I’m not going to name names because you can tempt fate.
“Until the signature’s on the form I’m not going to say much detail. We are very close to one and hopefully close to another as well.”
Fulham have also previously bid for Brighton’s Lewis Dunk, who was on the bench for the Seagulls’ 2-1 victory at Craven Cottage.
Symons, who did not deny his continued interest in Dunk, said: “I was pleased to see him out of their team because he’s a good player, so any good player not playing I’m pleased about.
“We are looking at several players at the moment but I won’t comment on who, especially when they could sign for other clubs. I think it’s the right thing to do.”

To be fair, the constant changing of the back four by Symons suggests he knows Fulham are shambolic at the back. A poor defensive pairing decision today surely cost Fulham a point maybe all three. Bodoruv and Hutchison are clearly not good enough.
