Fulham and QPR to feature in Hong Kong event
Fulham and QPR are to send Under-21 teams to the HKFC Citi Soccer Sevens tournament in Hong Kong later this month.
The annual invitational seven-a-side event is organised and hosted by Hong Kong Football Club and will see clubs compete in a 16-team competition.
Group matches will comprise of two seven-minute halves with a one-minute half-time break, with the knockout games made up of two 10-minute halves with a three-minute half-time break.
Brighton, Leicester, Newcastle, Glasgow Rangers, Aston Villa will also take part along with teams from around the region.
Fulham have been drawn in a group with Hong Kong Premier League champions Kitchee, Must CPK from Macau and Singapore FC.
QPR will face Brighton, a Hong Kong select side and Singapore Cricket Club.
Previous winners include Villa, Newcastle, Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, Celtic and Arsenal.
