Maxime Colin could return for Birmingham against QPR on Saturday.
The former Brentford defender has returned to full training after several weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring problem.
Colin has not played since suffering the injury against the Bees at the start of November.
Another ex-Brentford defender, Harlee Dean, is available to return for the Blues – he was suspended for last weekend’s game against Fulham.
Birmingham manager Steve Cotterill told his club’s website that Colin might be available for Rangers’ visit but added that Marc Roberts, Che Adams, Isaac Vassell and Carl Jenkinson are out.
