QPR striker Polter recovering well from hamstring problem

QPR believe a hamstring injury suffered by striker Sebastian Polter is not as bad as was first thought.

The summer signing, 24, has not featured since last month’s League Cup defeat against Carlisle.

Rangers initially believed Polter, who has made six appearances for them this season, could be sidelined for several weeks.

However, he has responded well to treatment and now looks close to returning to training.

Meanwhile, Armand Traore is expected to miss training for another two weeks because of his latest injury – a calf problem.

And Junior Hoilett has been receiving treatment for a hip injury.
