QPR boss pleased with Morrison’s attitude
QPR manager Harry Redknapp says he has been pleased with Ravel Morrison’s attitude since his arrival from West Ham.
Morrison, who made his R’s debut against Charlton on Saturday, was recently signed on loan for the rest of the season.
The midfielder’s attitude was questioned during his time at Manchester United, and after a blistering spell following his move to east London, he fell out of favour under Hammers boss Sam Allardyce.
But Redknapp insisted: “He’s been fantastic – excellent. He’s trained hard, been bright around the place and I think he’s enjoying it here.
“If the kid doesn’t become the player he should be then it will be a big disappointment for English football, because he can become a top player.”
The defeat at Charlton was Rangers’ third consecutive loss but Redknapp dismissed speculation about his future as a “load of rubbish” and claimed his position is not under threat.
“We played okay at Charlton and dominated the game but couldn’t score,” he said.
“We’ve had a little blip. We’ve lost four or five players and it’s been tough for a couple of weeks but I couldn’t fault the effort, we were just lacking a bit in the final third.
“We’re still in a great position, bang in there in fourth place and can still get promoted.”
