QPR boss Harry Redknapp is keen for the midfield partnership of Sandro and Karl Henry to continue.
The pair have impressed in the last couple of matches, with Sandro fit again and Henry having been given an opportunity because of injuries to Joey Barton and Jordon Mutch.
Barton and Mutch now face a fight to regain their places as Redknapp believes he has found a combination that gives Rangers the competitive edge in midfield they lacked earlier in the season.
“I think Sandro coming in to the team and Karl Henry, they give you that in midfield, and hopefully we can keep them fit and on the pitch and they can give us what we need,” Redknapp said.
“I brought Sandro to the club to do that and he’s had two 90 minutes’ at last – the Villa and Chelsea games are the first he’s had in a long time, so it’ll do him good.”
Barton and Mutch are due to be assessed this week along with defender Nedum Onuoha.
All three players have been struggling with hamstring problems.
