Ramsey: Players must repay fans and owners
Chris Ramsey says QPR’s players owe it to the club’s owners and fans to produce a good performance on Saturday.
Ramsey is in caretaker charge for the game against Southampton following this week’s departure of manager Harry Redknapp.
He is also likely to be at the helm for Tuesday’s trip to Sunderland, after which Rangers plan to confirm the appointment of Tim Sherwood as boss.
“We’ve got a great set of fans – and the owners have been very good to the players here,” Ramsey said.
“Really what we want them to do is repay the fans’ loyalty. I’ve been at most of the home games and the fans have been fantastic the way they’ve got behind the players despite our situation.
“We want maximum effort and I want to see a bit of flair as well. We really need to be on the front foot tomorrow.
“We really need to get the fans off their seats and make sure we keep that home form going.”

If Sherwood has got the job good luck to him. I thought his antics at Spurs were silly at times but he is still a young man. He writes well about football if these are his true words..at the very least he is a clear thinker about the game. If it were to fall through on wage demands a shame no-one has mentioned Gareth Ainsworth a true QPR hero who saved Wycombe last season and has transformed them this. The board seem to have grasped a Plan B at last and he would be ideal.
