Rangers confident Yun will be available
QPR are confident Yun Suk-Young will be available for the Championship play-off final after making a formal appeal to the Korea Football Association.
Fifa rules mean South Korea can stop Yun playing in the Wembley clash with Derby on 24 May as he has been named in their World Cup squad.
May 19-25 has been designated by Fifa as an ‘official rest period’ for all players selected for the tournament in Brazil, the only exception being the Champions League final.
But Rangers have been given permission by Croatia to select Niko Kranjcar and are confident Yun, 24, will also be able to play.
Talks with South Korea’s management team have been arranged for Friday and the QPR hierarchy believe they will be able to reach an agreement.
Yun, signed in January last year, has impressed during recent appearances for Rangers, which included a lively display as a second-half substitute in Monday’s play-off semi-final triumph against Wigan.
