Zamora scores twice in Rangers friendly
Bobby Zamora scored twice and trialist Tyler Blackwood netted his third goal in two matches as QPR beat Swindon 6-1 in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Friday.
Adel Taarabt, Armand Traore and Niko Kranjcar also scored for Rangers in the match at their Harlington training ground.
Zamora got his goals before being replaced at half-time by Blackwood, who scored twice for QPR’s Under-21s in a 3-2 win at Crewe this week.
Blackwood is a 23-year-old London-born striker who was previously on the books at Barnet and Northampton and has since been playing college football in the United States.
Swindon pulled one back before Traore made it 3-1, Blackwood got Rangers’ fourth and Kranjcar and Taarabt – who scored with a superb 30-yard strike – then added late goals.
