Polter and Luongo doubtful, but QPR trio available
Yeni Ngbakoto and Joel Lynch are available for QPR’s game against Newcastle along with Pawel Wszolek, but Sebastian Polter and Massimo Luongo are doubts.
Ngbakoto, Rangers’ recent signing from Metz, missed Saturday’s draw against Blackburn because of the recent death of his father.
Defender Lynch, who has not made a league appearance since his summer move from Huddersfield, recently returned to training following an abdominal injury and has been passed fit to rejoin the squad.
And on-loan Polish winger Wszolek is now in contention for his Rangers debut, having sat out the Blackburn game because of a one-match ban carried over from his parent club Hellas Verona.
But Polter, who has been nursing a gluteal muscle problem, was replaced at half-time on Saturday and did not train with the rest of the squad on Monday.
Luongo, meanwhile, has been ill since returning from international duty with Australia last week.
