Dunne expects QPR to challenge for promotion
Jimmy Dunne expects QPR to mount a promotion challenge under new head coach Mick Beale.
The 24-year-old established himself as a key player last season under former boss Mark Warburton after arriving from Burnley in the summer, as Rangers finished 11th , nine points outside the play-offs.
But speaking to West London Sport, Dunne was clear on what the team’s goals should be for the coming campaign.
“I expect to be going for promotion every season I’m at QPR,” he said.
“I’m not embarrassed to admit it. That’s what I believe. It’s what I believed when I came last season and it’s what I believe this season as well.
“Obviously we started (last season) really well. Up until February things were going great and then it took a turn for the worse.
“On a personal level I got loads of games in so I was delighted but obviously there’s plenty to learn from.”
Dunne was speaking to West London Sport’s Dan Bennett at an event to launch QPR’s new kits for the 2022/23 season.

Exactly. Last season should have resulted in getting to the playoffs, so this season its essential. especially so if we want to progress season on season.
