QPR are asking for £6m for Adel Taarabt.
That was the fee for any permanent transfer to Fulham agreed when he moved to Craven Cottage on loan a year ago and is still the amount Rangers are looking to sell him for.
Taarabt failed to impress at Fulham, who ended his season-long loan in January so he could spend the rest of the campaign on loan with AC Milan.
He did impress in Italy, scoring four goals in his 14 appearances, and is desperate to move to the San Siro this summer.
Italian media reports have suggested that Milan plan to offer Rangers around £3m for the 25-year-old Moroccan, who has two years left on his contract.
Speaking at the weekend, QPR boss Harry Redknapp said: “If he doesn’t want to be here then someone’s got to pay the money. He’s not going to go cheap.”
Redknapp, who sold the player to Rangers in 2010 while Tottenham manager, has also said that Taarabt “hasn’t done a day’s training” in recent weeks and is “miles away” from being fit.
